Many women want to have lips that 'pout' and are plump. Unfortunately, not all were born with such. But it is not a problem anymore in this generation of technology, because there is a product that, upon application, can make lips look fuller. This product, called the lip plumper, may stand sufficiently on its own or may act as a lip gloss. It usually works by having certain 'irritating ingredients', such as camphor or menthol, to make the lips' sensitive surface swell a little. It may be the conventional wipe-on type or the brush type. Though its effects are desirable, they are just temporary; hence, it should be applied or reapplied many times in a day. But between thin lips and a 'pouty' one, many women would rather reapply this product many, many times, to have plump lips.
For best results, prior to applying one, the teeth should be brushed thoroughly, including the lips so as to take off dead skin. Such will plump the lips already, 'preparing' them for the product. Massaging also helps. Then, the lips should be patted dry, and lip balm may be applied to prevent cracking. A few minutes later, the lip plumper is applied, covering all of the lips thoroughly. To cap off, lip gloss must be applied all over. But if it is to act as a lip gloss, traditional lipstick first, then such lip plumper.
A woman does not have to buy this product since there are home remedies that can also make lips look fuller. For dry and thin lips, a little olive oil must be applied over them. Then finishing by patting cinnamon oil, that is meant to stimulate plumping of the lips, will do the trick. Some women suggest 'bursting' a natural-vitamin-E capsule and spreading the sticky insides to the lips.
Lastly, there are other options for plump lips aside from those already mentioned. These are through cosmetic surgery, or through botox injections. Between the two, many women go for the latter because surgical methods have many unpleasant side effects.
In this seemingly 'vain' generation, artificial beautification processes abound. Good for those who can afford the high prices of such. But for those who are on tight budgets, they may as well be contented on what they presently have.
